Grand Opening: The Miller Center for the Arts

The Miller Center for the Arts will add a new and exciting dimension for RACC students by, providing a multi-faceted facility for the college to enhance the quality of both academic and student life experiences through the growth and development of the arts while also serving as a resource for the community.

The Miller Center is a state-of-the-art performance hall that will open in June 2007. Offering over 500 seats, excellent acoustics, an intimate setting and easy accessibility, this facility will provide audiences with a concert/theater-going experience unmatched by any other in the region.

Programs and policy are being designed to maximize the use of the Miller Center for both the Reading Area Community College campus community and the community at-large. In the immediate future, this will include the development of theater-related academic courses, creation of extracurricular drama and music clubs, and ticketed performances in dance, theater and music supplemented by workshop and master class opportunities.

An affordable rental rate schedule was created to encourage use of the facility by local arts groups and other corporate and non-profit organizations when the facility is not in use by the College or its students.
